The South Africa Experience introduces you to the endless jewels of the mysterious continent’s wildlife. You wouldn’t want to miss the eight-day voyage with a group of adventurers. We’ll experience one of the world’s most famous safari parks, tour Cape town as a local, indulge in South Africa’s tastiest food, and so much more. Day 1
Welcome! You will arrive in Cape Town, South Africa where you’ll meet your CEO. A reserved shuttle will transfer the group to your established accommodations. After checking in and freshening up, you will meet your group of travel friends and head out into town for a welcome dinner where we’ll toast to the lux journey ahead!

Day 2
For your first full day in Cape Town, enjoy a tour of the Mother City from all aspects. Uncover the history, the people, their cultures, their cuisines, and the artisanal trends of Cape Town during your walking tour through the city. Your guide will show you all the main highlights, bring you to gorgeous viewpoints, and teach you about the history of this astonishing city.

Day 3
The moment has come to see the Big 5! You will rise early and travel to Aquila Game Reserve to embark on a 3-hour, guided open-vehicle safari in search of the Big 5: lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and the African buffalo. Along with the wildlife, the nature reserve is a stunning piece of nature, tranquil and lovely for a sunset. To add to the excitement, after lunch you’ll hop on a quad bike (or horse) and begin an adrenaline ride with a guided safari specialist.

Day 4
The fun doesn’t stop! South Africa is home to one of the oldest wine countries outside Europe. Sip your day away through Cape Town Winelands. Your day will consist of several wine-tasting tours in various regions combined with relaxation, food, and good company.

Day 5
On this day in Cape Town, you’ll explore more of the city’s exquisite coastline, while taking in the sights. Visiting beautiful Boulder Beach you’ll have the chance to go to the only place in the world where you get close to African Penguins. Before heading back to your accommodation to freshen up before dinner, you’ll take an exciting cable car up to Table Mountain, the most iconic landmark in South Africa.

Day 6
Rest and relax the entire day away at Cape Town’s most sought-after wellness retreat and relaxation hideaway. You’ll experience a truly relaxed state of mind and body from well-trained therapists. Be greeted by the indoor heated swimming pool, enticing you to enjoy leisurely laps and a bubbling Jacuzzi. Enjoy the day in a private relaxation lounge, a sauna, a steam room, a mist room, and a fully-equipped fitness room. A day packed with pampering is bound to build up an appetite so you’ll break for Sunday brunch where you’ll indulge in the heart of the Cape Winelands with the very best in fresh and artisan meals.

Day 7
After breakfast, your day is at your leisure to do any last-minute shopping or sightseeing.

However, you may not want to miss out on this optional fear-seeking adventure. That’s right, some will be shark-cage diving. On this excursion, you will meet one of nature’s most feared predators, the great white shark. Whether you are an adrenaline junkie or not, shark cage diving can be done by all without any diving certifications necessary.

You will meet back up with the group and be immersed in African cuisine mixed with some of the best local food and flavors for your farewell dinner.

Day 8
All great things must come to an end, but only until our next lux experience. You will be transferred to Cape Town airport, where you will bid your “safe travels” to your new LNT friends and “goodbye” to South Africa!

Accommodations
This trip offers two accommodation options: double occupancy and single occupancy (limited availability). If you are traveling with us solo and elect for double occupancy, you will be paired with another LNT member based on your preferences. All rooms are single-gendered unless preferenced. If you are traveling with a friend, be sure to inform us so that we can pair the two of you together. Should you elect a single-occupancy room (for an additional charge), please note that the space is limited and are on a first-come-first-served basis.

Airfare
Airfare is not included in this excursion. You will need to purchase your flight separately, however, we are here to assist you. Airport details will be included in your welcome letter.

Meals
All meals are included on your trip unless stated otherwise, on the itinerary. We will experience the best of South Africa’s cuisine and although we will make every effort to accommodate dietary and particular needs, it is important to come with an open mind. Important Note: Tips are not included in your trip. Please allow for an additional $150 to $200 for tips. All our partners have worked hard on providing you with the best service. Should you have a problem tipping the tour guides, waiters/waitresses, hotel staff, and anyone who LNT has selected to help make this experience great, then perhaps this trip isn’t the best fit for you.

Activities
We’ve curated this experience for the adventurer who is seeking a splash of rest and relaxation. Because face it, we all love a good spa day. With that said, most of our activities are active. We require that you are physically able to walk at least 5 miles per day without assistance. Should you opt-out of any activity or portion of the trip, you will not receive any refund.

Optional Activities
Shark-cage diving is an optional activity on this trip. The cost of this activity is not included in the price of the excursion. You will have the opportunity to register for this experience after your initial payment.

Travel Documents

Passport
Guests are required to hold a passport for all international trips with at least six months of validity from the last day of the trip. The airlines may deny travel, and the passport officials may refuse entry if you try to travel with a passport that expires under six months. LNT will make every effort to verify passport validity; however, this is the responsibility of the guest.

Visa
This destination does not require a visa.

Covid Test & Vaccinations
Currently, South Africa does require a negative COVID-19 test result not older than 72 hours from the time of departure. Due to the vast changes in government policies worldwide, please visit the official government page here. Although South Africa does not require visitors to be vaccinated, LNTravels does require guests to be fully vaccinated to participate in this trip or a negative Covid-19 test 72-hours before departure.

Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is a type of short-term insurance that protects the financial investment in a trip and may include coverage for lost baggage, trip cancellation, flight accident, and/or other losses incurred before or while traveling. Should your trip be canceled or interrupted for a covered reason, a travel insurance policy will reimburse you for the eligible pre-paid and non-refundable portions of your trip.

We hope that all of our guests can accompany us on this experience. Unfortunately, circumstances can arise that could cause you to cancel or interrupt your trip. We understand how disappointing it is to be forced to cancel your trip prior to departing. To avoid financial and emotional anxiety, travel protection is highly recommended but not required to participate in an LNT experience. If you choose not to purchase travel insurance/trip protections, LNT will not be responsible for penalties or fees should you cancel.

We’ve partnered with Safety Wing to bring you an affordable travel insurance option. However, you are free to choose any insurance company that suits you best.

Trip Payment & Payment Plans
Each trip and destination is specially curated and therefore offers a unique payment plan. If you are unable to pay the full amount upfront, monthly payments are available. Just secure your trip with your down payment and then the remaining payments start the following month on the same day of each month.

Refund & Cancellation Policy All guests (with the exception of special promotion bookings) have 48 hours from the time of booking to cancel a trip for a full refund. After the 48-hour booking period, all trip deposits are non-refundable.

Any cancellation of a booking by a guest must be delivered to LNT in writing and be acknowledged by LNT in writing. For an abundance of clarity and to avoid any miscommunication, we will not consider a reservation canceled until we receive an email from you. In the unfortunate circumstance that you need to cancel your trip, based on the date you notify us by email of the cancellation, we will refund the balance, less the deposit and the following fees per trip:

$99 Deposit Promotion: All trip sales are final. New registrations made during a $99 deposit offer are ineligible for a refund/trip transfer. All payments made are nonrefundable.

Although we recommend travel insurance to ensure you are protected in the event of a medical or family emergency we encourage you to opt for the “cancel for any reason” coverage, specifically. Should you need to recover any of your non-refundable expenses, you can file a claim with your travel insurance.
